The 17th Vietnam International Furniture and Home Accessories Fair (VIFA Expo 2026), held from 8-11th March across exhibition centres in Ho Chi Minh City (WTC Expo and Sky Expo), marked a significant milestone in the brand’s near-two-decade journey, reports show organiser Lien Minh Company …
“The Vietnamese wood and furniture industry is increasingly demonstrating its powerful influence on the global market, thanks to optimised production capacities and impressive export turnover,” states Lien Minh Company, revealing an impressive set of figures for this year’s VIFA Expo.
Despite international travel disruption, this year’s edition continued to break records, covering a total are of 45,000 sqm across the two venues and featuring 650 exhibitors – 338 Vietnamese enterprises and 312 international companies from 19 countries and territories.
The product structure remained diverse: indoor and outdoor furniture accounted for the lion’s share, at 79% of total displayed products; handicrafts accounted for 8%; and accessories, machinery and supporting services for 13%.
Throughout the four-day exhibition, VIFA Expo welcomed 17,215 visitors, reports Lien Minh Company: “Notably, there were 6,360 international buyers from 110 countries and territories, primarily from key markets such as China, the USA, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Canada and the UK, as well as emerging potential markets like Mexico, Brazil and the UAE.”
The show organiser adds that the event also proved a success in driving business connections, its surveys revealing that: 26% of buyers expressed an intention to place orders; 27% of buyers were seeking new products and services; 21% of visitors aimed to expand their professional networks; and, notably, 11% of surveyed customers expressed interest in orders valued at over US$1m.
According to preliminary reports from exhibitors, contracts and memorandums of understanding worth approximately US$190m were signed during the fair, while 80% of surveyed businesses successfully secured contract agreements at the event.
With a legacy dating back to 2008, VIFA Expo has cemented its status as a Vietnam’s best-established furniture exhibition, and a valuable stop within Asia’s furniture-sourcing circuit each March.
Beyond trade activities, the fair offers industry seminars, free shuttle buses, official hotels, complimentary accommodation for VIP buyers, factory tours, and exclusive networking events including business lunches and gala dinners.
At this year’s show, the Mascot Design and Creative Furniture showcases took centre stage, highlighting Vietnam’s strategic shift from traditional OEM models to proactive, in-house design.
“By honouring Vietnamese-made products that align with sustainable global trends, the event provides a vital platform for businesses to strengthen their international brand presence,” Lien Minh Company concludes.
On to VIFA ASEAN
Looking ahead, from 2nd-5th September 2026, Ho Chi Minh City will again bring together South East Asia’s furniture industry as it hosts the 4th Vietnam International Furniture and Home Accessories Fair ASEAN (VIFA ASEAN 2026) at the SECC – a specialised event which is set to feature over 1,000 booths from 350 enterprises across Vietnam and the wider ASEAN region.
“VIFA ASEAN serves as a strategic bridge and a direct trade platform connecting the South East Asian furniture-manufacturing community with thousands of international importers, investors and contractors involved in diverse projects – from residential apartments to restaurants, hotels, resorts and airports – both in Vietnam and globally,” explains the show’s organiser.
The fair will showcase modern and versatile products across four sectors: indoor and outdoor furniture; home decor, stationery and handicrafts; machinery, equipment, accessories and tools; and interior design, architecture, construction and trends.
As a key event in Asia’s autumn furniture fair circuit, VIFA ASEAN is poised to attract an influx of international buyers. Alongside Kofurn (South Korea), MFFM (Malaysia), Maison Shanghai, CIFF Shanghai, Furniture China (China) and IFFINA (Indonesia), VIFA ASEAN promises to be a suitable launchpad for autumn’s sourcing activities.
“The resounding success of VIFA ASEAN 2025 – which welcomed over 230 enterprises and 8,926 visitors from 67 countries and territories – has reaffirmed Vietnam's leading role in regional furniture production and exports,” Lien Minh Company concludes. “By joining VIFA ASEAN 2026, businesses can leverage Vietnam's strategic position to expand their market reach and strengthen their global brand presence.”
