Andrew Martin opens refurbished Chelsea showroom

Global design house Andrew Martin has unveiled its refurbished flagship showroom on Walton Street, Chelsea, which the business describes as "a fully immersive retail experience, complete with a Land Rover Defender mounted across a wall, a mechanical elephant and Andrew Martin’s signature mix of antiques, tribal art, global textiles and vintage luxury.

"In an era increasingly dominated by online shopping, the reopening makes a confident case for the continued relevance of experiential, bricks-and-mortar retail," the retailer continues.

"Since 1987, the Walton Street showroom has been more than a store – it’s been a stage set for global discovery, layering antiques, tribal artworks, vintage luxury and the curiosities the brand is known for. Now, the doors reopen with a clear message – the physical design experience matters more than ever."

Founder Martin Waller comments: “This generation’s retailers are tussling with the balancing act between online and bricks and mortar. Andrew Martin has long championed the attractions of the physical store. Our flagship store on Walton Street once again embodies my belief in the sense of romance and theatre that is the prerequisite for enticing interior fans through the doors.”

Andrew Martin's flagship showroom, at 190-196 Walton Street, London, is now open to the public.
