Artisan Furniture, headquartered in Westminster, has secured its first UK patent from the UKIPO for an innovative KD furniture mechanism.
Engineered to optimise transit efficiency and lower carbon emissions, this innovation highlights the company’s focus on advancing sustainable logistics and operational efficiency.
The patented mechanism aligns with Artisan Furniture’s international expansion across the US, Germany/EU and Canada, providing "a scalable solution for reducing environmental impact while meeting global market demands".
The achievement builds on the company’s evolution through the Goldman Sachs x Oxford University 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) programme, sharpening its global strategy.
As a recognised B Corp and Forbes-featured enterprise, Artisan Furniture says it continues to lead the industry in sustainable practices: "This milestone patent reinforces its commitment to harmonising innovation, scalability and environmental stewardship, furthering its position as a global leader in sustainable, handmade, solid-wood furniture solutions."
