Harvey Norman today officially opened its fourth UK store, at The Gracechurch Centre in Sutton Coldfield, marking a significant milestone in its continued expansion across the UK.
Following a successful soft launch earlier this month, the retailer is now celebrating its grand opening weekend, with the store officially opened by Sir Andy Street and Rt Hon Sir Andrew Mitchell MP for Sutton Coldfield on Friday morning. The event welcomed VIP guests, suppliers and local businesses to experience Harvey Norman’s integrated retail offering.
This development builds on the momentum established by the opening of Harvey Norman's flagship store in Merry Hill Shopping Centre in 2024. The ASX-listed company, with more than 300 stores globally, now has a UK estate that comprises four locations including two in Belfast, with further openings in the pipeline.
In addition to offering an extensive range of home and lifestyle products, the Gracechurch location also serves as the company’s UK HQ, providing a centralised hub for its expanding operations.
Harvey Norman says the move signals a longer-term commitment to scaling its presence in Britain through a regional hub model anchored in the West Midlands.
Lachlan Roach, MD at Harvey Norman UK, comments: “The opening of our fourth UK store marks an important step in our expansion. The West Midlands offers a strong regional economy, a large catchment area and a strategic base for our UK HQ. Harvey Norman positions its large-format stores as destination retail spaces, combining furniture, appliances and technology under one roof, supported by in-store expertise.
"The grand opening weekend is a fantastic opportunity for the local community to experience everything the new store has to offer and we’ve also rolled out exclusive offers across all our stores this weekend to celebrate the occasion."
