Julian Bowen has announced the appointment of Mark Pickup as its new CEO. Mark has worked with the furniture wholesaler for almost two decades and has progressed through a range of senior roles during that time. His long-standing knowledge of the business, its customers, suppliers, products and people provides a strong platform for the company’s next phase.
The appointment follows a mutual decision for Stefan Warhaftig to leave Julian Bowen to pursue other ventures. The business thanks Stefan for his contribution over the past year and wishes him well for the future.
Julian Bowen’s owner, Storskogen, fully supports Mark’s appointment, which reinforces the value of experienced leadership from within the business and provides continuity as the company builds on its established strengths.
“Julian Bowen has been an enormous part of my working life and I am immensely proud to be taking on the role of CEO," says Mark. "We have a brilliant team, valued customers and suppliers, and a business with real strength and potential. My focus is on building on what we do well, supporting our partners and leading Julian Bowen into its next chapter with clarity, pace and ambition.”
Julian Bowen says the appointment marks the start of "a positive new chapter" for the business, "with a clear focus on customers, product, service and sustainable profitable growth".
