Furniture supplier Julian Bowen has announced the appointment of Steve Breen as the its new CEO. Steve will officially join the business on 20th January, working initially alongside current CEO Emmett Lenaghan during a transition period. Emmett will be retiring following the transition period, but will remain involved in the company as a shareholder and adviser.
Steve brings a wealth of experience to Julian Bowen, having held senior leadership positions at Vitra Bathrooms, Ideal Standard, Finning and Electrolux. Most recently, Steve was MD at Vitra Bathrooms, where he has led the business through an ambitious multi-year strategic growth plan.
This leadership transition at Julian Bowen marks an important milestone for the company, which states that Steve’s appointment reflects its "commitment to investing in its leadership team and in turn building on its legacy of innovation, quality and excellence in the furniture industry.
