Manufacturer One Call Furniture has launched One Call Components, a UK-based manufacturing division created to support volume users of wood-based panels requiring "consistent quality, reliable lead times and accountable domestic supply".
Operating from its new 130,000 sqft factory facility near Colchester, the division will produce cut and edged panels, cabinet carcasses and assembled cabinets to customer specifications across the furniture and bedding sectors.
One Call Furniture says it has been established in response to "growing demand for dependable UK manufacturing capacity as manufacturers review supplier risk and service performance.
"One Call Components is positioned as a service-led supplier, with senior management taking a hands-on approach to operations. This structure is designed to ensure controlled, repeatable quality at scale, alongside proactive communication around production schedules and capacity planning.
"By manufacturing in the UK, the business aims to offer greater stability and responsiveness, reducing lead time volatility and avoiding the delays often associated with offshore sourcing".
