Sofa Club has announced a collaboration with TED speaker and East London performance poet Emmanuel Speaks for its Christmas campaign.
"Known for his raw and powerful storytelling, Emmanuel brings his unique voice and poetic talent to this campaign, capturing the warmth, chaos, and cherished moments that define the holiday season," states the retailer.
"In his evocative script, Emmanuel weaves a narrative that takes listeners on a nostalgic journey through Christmas Day – from the early morning excitement of torn ribbons to afternoon family games and laughter on the sofa. The campaign beautifully encapsulates the role of the sofa as the silent witness and steadfast companion to holiday traditions and togetherness."
Emmanuel, a performance poet from East London, has carved out a distinctive space in the arts, sharing stories that resonate with audiences far and wide. In his TED Talk, he reflected on the challenges of growing up in a single-parent household, navigating identity struggles, and overcoming the influence of negative peers. His artistry has earned him features on Channel 4, Huffington Post, GRM Daily and Sofar Sounds, and campaigns with brands including New Look.
The campaign will air across Sofa Club’s platforms throughout the holiday season, celebrating the role of the sofa in bringing families and friends together.
