Think Rugs is expanding its licensed portfolio with a series of design-led machine-washable collections created exclusively with Sanderson Design Group brands Clarke & Clarke, Harlequin and Scion.
Showcased at Spring Fair 2026, the launches reflect growing momentum within the washable rug category, where retailers increasingly seek products that combine premium aesthetics with everyday practicality, trusted brand recognition and commercial versatility.
As a British, family-owned business approaching its 30th anniversary this September, Think Rugs has built a reputation as one of the UK’s leading rug suppliers to the retail trade. It says the latest launches bring recognisable British heritage interior brands into the premium washable category for the first time.
The Clarke & Clarke collection introduces the brand’s signature mix of bold colour and eclectic style, balancing statement design with practicality. Passiflora (pictured) has emerged as a stand-out style.
Harlequin’s collection celebrates expressive interiors through colour, pattern and artistic design inspired by travel, architecture and the natural world, with Florent proving particularly popular – while Scion continues to deliver through playful, accessible design suited to real homes, and Mr Fox has become one of the best-performing styles, supported by strong retailer demand across the UK and Ireland.
Across all three collections, every rug is machine washable and finished with anti-slip backing, offering an easy-care solution that fits busy homes without compromising on style.
“Retailers are looking for products that combine design credibility with practicality, and washable qualities continue to be one of the strongest growth areas within the category,” says Sam Tippett, director at Think Rugs. “With these exclusive launches, we can offer retailers recognisable British design names in a format that feels highly relevant to today’s customer.”
As Think Rugs approaches its 30th anniversary, the company continues to invest in licensed partnerships, product innovation and trend-led design, reinforcing its position as a leading force in the UK rug industry.
