Bed industry veteran Stuart Page is leading the return to market of upholstered bed brand Hestia, and British-built adjustable bed brand, MiBed, working with John Hilliard (ex-Furmanac) and a team of agents to bring a varied portfolio to UK buyers.
The businesses have increased stock availability, widened the product range and strengthened production capacity "to support their long-standing commitment to reliable, design-led British furniture," says Stuart, who is looking forward to sharing the new designs – including the new TIA sofabed – at January's INDX Furniture event in Solihull.
"All products across both brands are created to British standards, designed in the UK and manufactured using high-quality UK and EU materials," he continues. "QC is carried out by UK nationals in both the UK and Europe to ensure consistency across all production sites."
With some manufacturing now taking place in Europe, several of the most popular Hestia upholstered bedsteads are now held locally in stock for rapid and reliable delivery, alongside 40 upholstered bed frame models made in the UK, offered in almost 200 fabrics. MiBed continues to be designed and manufactured exclusively in the UK.
"The range includes adjustable bed systems, mattresses that match the full MiBed specification, short and dependable lead times, consistent build quality and full UK-based after-sales support," says Stuart.
To support growth and stock continuity, the brands now also operate a wholly owned European manufacturing facility. "This provides scalable capacity, controlled production processes and competitive pricing for stock-supported models," he explains. "All products remain designed in the UK to maintain consistent specification, comfort and appearance.
"With UK production, UK stockholding and European manufacturing aligned, the brands now provide faster nationwide delivery, reliable replenishment, short lead-time UK builds for MiBed adjustable beds, and strong overall supply chain resilience."
