New report identifies top online bed and mattress brands

The Cotswold Company is the most prominent brand within the online UK beds and mattresses sector, according to a new report from Salience Search Marketing, whose annual online UK beds and mattresses sector report aims to uncover the industry's leaders based on their online prominence and visibility.  

The report analysed 11 crucial performance indicators including YoY visibility, search volume trends and brand awareness, to identify market leaders in the UK beds and mattresses industry based on consumer familiarity with the brand through online searches or social media interactions. By merging branded search metrics with social media performance, the report determines which brands stand out across various channels, offering insights into their overall prominence in the market.

With 90,500 monthly brand searches and an owned social score of 770, The Cotswold Company was the most prominent brand. 

Dusk also boasts a monthly brand search volume of 90,500 and an owned social score of 678.

Dreams has a sizeable 246,000 monthly brand searches and a 212 owned social score, demonstrating high demand for the brand’s products and services.

Bensons For Beds sees 135,000 monthly brand searches and an owned social score of 145, while Graham and Green sees 40,500 monthly brand searches and an owned social score of 477, securing the brand a spot among the top five.

Silentnight has over 33,000 monthly brand searches and an owned social score of 255, and Tempur is also among the most prominent brands, with 9900 monthly brand searches and an owned social score of 849.

Emma Sleep sees 8100 monthly brand searches and an owned social score of 692, while, with 4400 monthly brand searches and an 895 owned social score, Premier Inn Bed, recognised for its signature hotel beds, also performed well.

Finally, Simba Sleep secures a spot in the 10 most prominent brands within the industry. With 5400 monthly brand searches and an owned social score of 616, the brand’s mattresses are highly favoured by consumers.

Brett Janes, MD at Salience Search Marketing, says: “Our findings reveal the brands dominating the beds and mattresses industry. The Cotswold Company leads in online brand awareness; however, strong monthly brand searches from competitors could challenge its top position.

"In a highly competitive industry, brands must tailor their products and services to consumer needs while enhancing the overall shopping experience."
