The 31st edition of Italian fabric trade fair Proposte, which showcases furnishing, curtain, trimming, and wallcovering fabrics, came to a close on 4th May, recording an uptick in visitor numbers of +4%.
The show's organiser reports that the Villa Erba venue witnessed "a significant turnout on the opening day, with a calmer atmosphere following".
The foreign contingent remains predominant, accounting for 70% of the buyers (from approximately 70 countries). Attendance from Germany and Great Britain remained stable, a slight increase was seen from the US and France, and, after years of stability, there was an increase in the number of Italian buyers present.
"Proposte will remain at Villa Erba in 2025, adhering to the existing lease agreement. The 32nd edition will take place on May 6-8th," confirms show president, Alessandro Tessuto. "In the meantime, we are collaborating with the exhibition centre management, the municipality of Cernobbio, and Confindustria Como on a project to regulate participation from companies outside the exhibition."
