Former professional basketball player Shaquille O’Neal has been enlisted by DFS to promote its reclining furniture range – including La-Z-Boy products – in the UK.
Shaq kicked off the new partnership by surprising staff and customers at DFS’ store in Wednesbury to try out the recliner ranges for himself. Honing in on his favourite La-Z-Boy range in-store, Shaq met with the DFS retail team to learn more about the products on offer, as he greeted customers and filmed content for an upcoming DFS social media campaign.
To officially launch the partnership, DFS has introduced an exclusive La-Z-Boy recliner armchair, the La-Z-Boy XL Tamla – the brand’s biggest-ever recliner chair – "to ensure everyone, no matter their shape or size, can find their thing and the ultimate comfort at DFS", says the retailer.
Inspired by Shaq’s 7ft 1in stature, the new recliner armchair is exclusively available to purchase on DFS' website.
