Sleepeezee raises a further £68k for children’s hospital

Sleepeezee has contributed £68,400 to The Children’s Hospital Charity, generated from the sales of Jessica mattresses throughout 2023.

The Children’s Hospital Charity, dedicated to enhancing the lives of young patients at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, plays a pivotal role in providing critical medical care, support, and resources to children facing health challenges. Sleepeezee’s donation will directly contribute to funding essential programmes, medical equipment and research initiatives.

“As a proud patron of The Children’s Hospital Charity, it was a joy to visit the wards and present the impressive donation,” says former athlete and Sleepeezee brand ambassador, Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill. “Being able to contribute to this hospital that provides such an excellent level of care to both children and their families is an absolute pleasure.”

The donation was amassed via sales of Sleepeezee’s Jessica mattress range, for which £20 of each sale throughout the year is donated to The Children’s Hospital Charity. Now in its fourth year of fundraising, Sleepeezee has raised a total gross of £228,000 for the charity so far, and plans to continue the initiative.

“We are thrilled to announce our donation of £68,400 to The Children’s Hospital Charity, made possible through the sales of Jessica mattresses in 2023,” says Sleepeezee MD Steve Warren. “It is great to see our partnership with Jessica and The Children’s Hospital Charity continue to grow and we are always thrilled to support the invaluable work of organisations like The Children’s Hospital Charity that make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.”

Tchad Western, head of strategic partnerships and CFO (chief fun officer) at The Children’s Hospital Charity, adds: “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sleepeezee for their generous donation, which will significantly impact the lives of the children we serve. Their support enables us to continue our vital work in providing world-class care and support to young patients and their families. Together, we can make a difference and create brighter, healthier futures for children in need.”
