The Cotswold Company has opened its new retail park showroom, on Portfield Retail Park, Chichester. It is the brand's first retail park opening, and the retailer says it creates a new opportunity to test the application of the brand in a larger format to its usual showrooms.
To mirror the usual feel of its showrooms, The Cotswold Company has designed the space to replicate various spaces within the home, rather than a traditional retail space. This includes the introduction of fully styled room settings, dropped ceilings and faux window installations.
The enlarged space will also enable The Cotswold Company to showcase a broader range of its products, including the brand’s largest-ever upholstery offer, supported by a dedicated Upholstery Hub with full-length fabric options, consultation space and take-home swatches. As part of this, the group will also offer its ready-made curtain range, with a variety of fabrics, drapes and finishes.
Chichester marks the fourth showroom opening of 2025, following the recent launch of its Knutsford location, which continues to trade ahead of expectations. With at least one further opening planned before the end of the FY, the business says it "continues to take meaningful steps towards its ambition to become one of the UK’s leading premium furniture and homeware brands".
Ralph Tucker, CEO at The Cotswold Company, says: “We’re delighted to officially open our new retail park showroom in Chichester. It was critical to replicate the charm and immersive experience that customers have come to know in love across our showroom portfolio, and we’re proud to provide the same look and feel in Chichester. We genuinely believe there isn’t a retail park showroom like it!
“This opening is a significant milestone for the brand as we strengthen our presence in the South East and drive the roll-out of our immersive showroom format that allows customers to experience broader ranges of our collections. With a strong showroom pipeline, Chichester being the fourth in 2025 with at least one more planned before the end of the FY, we’re building momentum as we work towards becoming the UK’s leading premium furniture and homeware brands.”
