The Cotswold Company has announced plans to launch its first London showroom, in Kingston, at 27 Thames Street, at the end of March, creating eight new local jobs. It says the new showroom, which is the company’s 15th and its first launch of 2026, marks "a strategic push to grow brand awareness across the capital amid rising interest in made to last, Cotswold-style furniture".
The 4,000+ sqft showroom is situated in a high-footfall area alongside other high-profile home and lifestyle brands. It will allow customers to shop an extensive range of The Cotswold Company’s bestselling products across each category.
The showroom marks the retailer's first within the M25. In December, it opened a showroom in Chichester, which it says is trading ahead of expectations.
With its opening in Kingston, the company is aiming to build on its successful Christmas period. In the 10 weeks to 28th December, The Cotswold Company significantly outperformed the home and furniture market, with sales growth of 17% to £23.2m.
CEO Ralph Tucker says: “Across the UK, we’re seeing growing interest from consumers who are seeking ways to add a touch of Cotswold-charm to their homes, combining timeless elegance, premium quality and unbelievable value. In London, that is no different – however, we wanted to make sure we had the right store in the right location before we took our first steps in the capital. With our expansive showroom in Kingston – a highly popular retail location with strong appeal for homeware and furniture customers – we think we have the perfect opportunity to introduce more consumers to the brand and create a destination for those looking for inspiration for their homes.
“The opening builds on a sustained period of growth and strategic progress for The Cotswold Company. Over Christmas, we celebrated record results and have seen strong demand across our new openings – including in Chichester, which opened in December. This gives us huge confidence to continue executing against our plan and scaling the company into one of the most-loved furniture and homeware brands across the UK.”
Founded in 1996 in the Cotswolds, The Cotswold Company sells furniture and accessories through a digital-led omnichannel model, working in tandem with specialist manufacturers and employing traditional woodworking techniques.
