On Good Friday (3rd April), Sofa Club will expand its retail presence with the opening of a brand-new showroom at Unit 4A, Metro Oasis, Metrocentre, Gateshead.
Spanning 2,500–3,000 sqft across two levels, the new space has been designed to showcase Sofa Club’s growing range of contemporary sofas in an immersive retail environment.
Located in one of the UK’s largest shopping centres, the Metrocentre showroom gives Newcastle customers the opportunity to experience Sofa Club’s designs in person.
The retailer says the two-level showroom has been designed to encourage visitors to "slow down, sit down and experience the sofas properly"
The Metrocentre showroom will open with a team of three, including two existing Sofa Club team members supporting the launch alongside a newly recruited team member from the Newcastle area.

This showroom is all about helping customers experience our sofas properly, because once you sit in them, you get it. At Sofa Club, we believe life’s too short for average sofas, and this space is designed to show people exactly what we mean.”
To mark the opening, Sofa Club will host a VIP launch event across Easter weekend, welcoming customers to the new showroom for the first time.
