Leicestershire-based bed manufacturer Get Laid Beds says it saw a stand-out year of growth in 2025 after Black Friday became the biggest sales day in the company’s history.
The record-breaking performance contributed to more than £500,000 in sales across the Black Friday weekend, supporting the company’s continued investment in people, production and new markets while driving millions into the Midlands economy in the last year alone.
Across the full Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend, the business delivered a 36% increase on 2024 numbers. Black Friday itself (28th November) became the most successful day in the company’s history, with a 32% uplift on the previous highest day in 2024.
Crafted to order in Leicestershire, Get Laid Beds specialises in premium, handmade wooden bed frames, produced using traditional carpentry techniques and 100% solid wood. As demand continues to grow, the business has continued to invest in its manufacturing operation. In 2025, this included the addition of a precision turning lathe, improving consistency and output across its turned components.
As part of its longer-term growth strategy, Get Laid Beds has also accelerated its expansion into B2B and commercial spaces. Melanie Whetstone, commercial sales manager, has been appointed to lead the company’s trade division.
"Her interior design expertise makes her a strategic hire aimed at increasing competitiveness in hospitality, retail and large-scale residential projects," states the manufacturer.
CEO Scott Shields comments: “This year has been about scaling the business with intent while staying true to what makes us different. Get Laid Beds was founded by Jonny and Jean 14 years ago on clear principles of craftsmanship and quality with total control over how our beds are made and those values continue to guide every decision we take. Record-breaking sales, alongside continued investment in our workshop and people, show that customers still value furniture that is well made and built to last.
“We are proud to be growing a manufacturing business in the Midlands while protecting the foundations the company was built on. In 2025 alone, we brought over £3m of revenue from the London area into the region, taking that figure to more than £11m since 2023. That growth supports skilled jobs in Leicestershire and reflects our commitment to investing in local people – supported by company-wide training that helps our team's personal development, to progress in their roles and build long-term careers in manufacturing.”
International demand has also accelerated. Following a successful European launch campaign, revenue from Europe increased by 151% YoY, also generating over £500,000 from European customers.
Looking ahead to 2026, Get Laid Beds plans to focus on doubling its trade performance by investing in the development and expansion of its specialist talent, strengthening skillsets and building on the successes of the previous year. The brand also has ambitions to secure new contracts across the UK and US, while continuing to strengthen its presence in the European furniture market.
